Scintillatingly complex and intense with a wealth of ripe and mouthwatering lemon, grapefruit, peach and green mango. Some clotted cream, flint and toasty oak, too. The palate has intense ripe citrus and stone fruit flavours in a glossy, creamy texture bolstered by fresh acidity.
2021 Limefinger The Solace Polish Hill River Riesling, Clare Valley, A$38
Gently flinty and strapped in tight, this riesling from the Polish Hill River district has a combination of grapefruit, lime and rushed stones on the nose. The palate has such intensity and sheer drive, punches lime, grapefruit and lemon juice flavour so deep and so fresh.

A powerful and focused riesling that is packed with green apple, lime and fresh green pear fruit aromas and flavours, as well as alluring fresh perfume. Such long and unwavering palate structure here is really something and there’s a bracing freshness to the finish.
2021 Galafrey Reserve Riesling, Mount Barker, A$28
Another refined, focused edition of this riesling, it arrives bright, fine and fresh and packed with lime citrus as well as lime leaf with wet stone and a gentle herbal edge. The palate has a smooth deeply concentrated and pure feel with ripe citrus, some peach and a dry crisp finish.
2021 Limefinger The Learnings Watervale Riesling, Clare Valley, A$38
Super bright lime and lemon citrus with some nectarine also in the mix. Very pure and taut. The palate has immediate impact and bright, bold lime and lemon fruits, some green peach, too. Succulent with mouth-watering acidity leaving the finish sizzling with flavour.
2021 Charlotte Dalton Aerkeengel Semillon, Adelaide Hills, A$42
A style of semillon that really cuts its own path, this offers aromas of lemon peel, toasted grains, dried grasses and lemon juice with light chamomile flowers. The palate has a core of lemon and zesty driving acidity that then opens to a softer spiced white nougat finish.
2021 Mandi Friulano, Murray Darling, A$25
Skin contact and a deft touch equate to a wine with so much to offer. Pear, red apple, rose, peach, orange zest and almond, with an almost marzipan pastry edge, too. A lick of creaminess at the finish too. Wow, this is good.
2021 Aphelion Callow Grenache Blanc, McLaren Vale, A$38
This has a savoury edge from the get-go with aromas of chamomile, dried pear and a hint lemongrass. The palate holds a smooth textural edge and carries plenty of soft pear and poached apple flavours. Some honeydew to close.
2020 Cooke Brothers Savagnin, Langhorne Creek, A$30
A light, fresh and bright glass of youthful white with plenty of lemon and a light grassy edge on the nose. The palate has mouth-filling fruit flavour led by apple and pear with more savoury pastry-like notes building into the mid-section. Finishes clean and crisp.
2021 Moss Wood Semillon, Margaret River, A$46
A complex and intense semillon that has aromas of lemon and green peach with subtle grains and spice. The palate wields so much flavour and is built on gentle textural enrichment supported by bright acidity. Lemon and grapefruit finish.
2020 Mulline Sutherlands Creek Fumé Blanc, Geelong, A$50
Melon, lime peel and candied citron aromas as well as a subtle herb and toasted grain edge. The palate has a tangy, saline edge and central crunchiness is framed in smoothly layered passion fruit and lime flesh. Complex and measured.
2021 Renzaglia Murnang White, Bathurst, A$32
A distinctive and attractively fresh nose of gooseberry, peach, lime and betel leaf. The palate holds a supple, fleshy and gently pithy array of citrus, tropical and orchard fruits. Plays a gentle bitter edge on the finish to good effect. A total refresher!
2021 Hahndorf Hill White Mischief Grüner Veltliner, Adelaide Hills, A$25
Aromas of pear and pawpaw lead to a palate that has softly fleshy pear, apple and melon fruit flavours. Agile with a gentle citrusy twist at the finish. Stand alone or fresh summer lunches, will be a star guest either way.
2021 Mandi Pinot Grigio, Murray Darling, A$22
Kevin McCarthy certainly knows his way around this grape. The pears, sliced apple and sweet pastry aromas are alluring and the palate has a fresh feel with gently chalky and creamy layers of pear fruit in the main. Hits the spot for drinkability.
2021 Welkin by Aphelion Clairette, McLaren Vale, A$28
Great to see this grape being made in McLaren Vale and this is a delicate, fresh and restrained white that offers light citrus, elderflower and pear fruit aromas. The palate has a crisp, light pear and lime juice core.
2021 Thistledown Gorgeous Grenache Blanc, McLaren Vale, A$25
Aromas of sliced ripe pear and a little lemon, this is a bright and fresh white. The palate strikes the right drinkability with refreshment and the result is an effortless, gently fleshy white with a crisp finish.
