Conveniently situated between the Bright Brewery and the excellent Reed & Co Distillery in the middle of Bright, the Billy Button Wines cellar door is more than just an outlet for Jo Marsh’s latest creations, but an outlet for the region.
With more than 30 wines crafted by Jo and her team, you can taste everything from arneis to amphora-fermented saperavi, with all but one wine – the riesling – produced from Alpine Valley growers.
The cheese boards stocked with local dairy delights are worth the stop alone, with cellar door manager Grant Williams on hand to help explore the array of varieties.
An additional Billy Button Wines cellar door has just opened in Myrtleford too, the new outlet shared with Bob and Helen McNamara’s label Dirt Track Wines. A welcome feature of the Myrtleford cellar door is the regional spotlight, where you can also taste wines from other Alpine Valleys producers, like Bike & Barrel, Mayford and Dalbasco Wines.
