Bremerton Wines’ cellar door is all that you could wish for. Now a pleasing combination of old and new, early this year, a modern tasting room was added to the one housed in the old barn built in 1866. Both buildings now serve as tasting rooms for premium wines and spirits, and there are impressive eating areas in the barn and outdoors. Sisters Lucy Willson, general manager, and Rebecca Willson, chief winemaker, run the show. There are four wine flights on offer and one for the winery’s gin – all matched with local produce. Some of Australia’s best-known artists have contributed to a barrel bottom exhibition and local delicacies are available for purchase. Family heritage and sense of community run throughout their cellar door, as does care for the environment: their carpark has two Tesla charging connectors.
