Served chilled and enjoy with an aromatic paella.

Campbells, 1800 359 458

2018 Cabernets, Rutherglen, $22

Campbells’ unique blend – the 2018 Cabernets – is a true crowd pleaser.
Cabernet sauvignon provides a backbone of dark fruits with ruby cabernet bringing lifted aromas and a touch of shiraz adds length and fine tannins. This wine is cheeky and juvenile but carries enough weight and tannin to pair with a hearty slow-cooked lamb shank or a generous wedge of crumbly parmesan. Enjoy now or cellar for up to 15 years.

De Bortoli Rutherglen Estate, (02) 6033 6100

2018 Tempranillo, Rutherglen, $24

Tempranillo is one of a number of alternative varieties doing very well in Rutherglen. Native to Spain, this grape produces a vibrant and aromatic
medium-bodied red. With spicy berry fruits and mouth-coating, grainy tannins, it’s an ideal wine to match with a number of food styles, but is also very enjoyable on its own.

SYMPHONIA, 0418 682 277

2019 Pinot Trois, King Valley, $24

Symphonia brings together three pinot varieties – pinot noir, pinot meunier and pinot grigio – for this is elegant and savoury rosé from Victoria’s pristine King Valley. Pinot noir contributes gentle strawberry fruits, pinot meunier adds delicate white spice and herbal undertones to the aroma while pinot grigio brings subtle ripe white fruits to the palate. A trio of pinots from the vineyard of Symphonia, ready to be chilled and enjoyed.

Pizzini, (03) 5729 8278

2018 Nonna Gisella Sangiovese, King Valley, $21.50

Nonna Gisella Pizzini was a warm, loving and humble lady who embraced all new experiences life threw her. She would say “Cosa c’è di nuovo, non e ridicolo!” (“What is new is not ridiculous!”) This easy-drinking sangiovese has earthiness, spiced plums, cherries, chocolate and dried Italian herbs. The savoury finish is met with soft and well-balanced acidity. It is the perfect pizza wine but is also fabulous with a bowl of spaghetti bolognese.
