For more than 10 years, Tamar Ridge has been holding their annual Noir Night at their home in Tasmania’s glorious Tamar Valley. Now they are taking the show on the road for a series of events to be held in Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth.
Learn more about pinot noir from winemaker Tom Wallace and his team as they reveal the intricacies of the grape at a series of intimate masterclasses, where various clones will be explored and tasted.
Afterwards, enjoy a refreshing glass of multi-award-winning NV Pirie Sparkling followed by a four-course dinner hosted by a GT WINE oenophile, at which you will enjoy more Tamar Ridge pinot noir, including the 2021 Tamar Ridge Estate, 2020 Tamar Ridge Reserve and 2021 Tamar Ridge Research Series.

NV Pirie Sparkling
Elegant and vibrant, this full-flavoured premium sparkling has an aromatic lift with relatively high fruit intensity. Made according to the traditional method from handpicked chardonnay and pinot noir grapes grown in the unique terroirs of Tasmania’s Tamar Valley. A multi-award-winning wine of finesse, elegance and delicacy of flavour.
2021 Tamar Ridge Estate Pinot Noir
This pinot is a light ruby colour with hints of crimson. An elegant and yet complex nose showing aromas of raspberry fruits and redcurrants against a background layer of spice and savoury notes. The red berry fruits are balanced by a good concentration of fine, soft, silky tannins and enough acidity to give definition to the finish, which is long and persistent.
2020 Tamar Ridge Reserve Pinot Noir
A flavoursome pinot noir with strong aromas of raspberry and blueberry dominant against a background layer of cinnamon and some savoury/meaty characters that will develop over time. Mouth-filling flavours of red berries are balanced by a good concentration of soft, silky tannins and enough acidity to give definition to a long and persistent finish.
2021 Tamar Ridge Research Series Pinot Noir
A great example of the diverse fermentation methods used to bring out the complex characteristics of the fruit. The nose has the perfume of florals, lifted sap and bright red fruits. On the palate, the wine is elegant and balanced with the red berry fruits melding seamlessly with a fine-grained tannin. The French oak barriques used in maturing this wine provide structure and intensity while being perfectly integrated. Only 4,000 bottles made.
