Celebrating 25 Years With RIEDEL

Over the past 25 years, Gourmet Traveller WINE has, without exception, relied on RIEDEL stemware to ensure wines are tasted at their optimum. Come and learn why the quality, size and shape of glasses makes the world of difference at a masterclass and dinner presented by Mark Baulderstone, Managing Director of RIEDEL, and the GT WINE team. This is a night you won't want to miss as premium bottles from the GT WINE Winemaker of the Year Award winners will be served to each guest in a set of RIEDEL Winewings glasses. All four glasses will be carefully packed for you to take home.

Did you know that the shape and size of your glass will affect the aroma, flavour and overall profile of wine? A RIEDEL Sensory Tasting is an entertaining and educational opportunity to explore how the right glassware can enhance your wine drinking experience.

This fascinating masterclass will incorporate decades of research and development in variety-specific glassware, providing a glimpse into RIEDEL's 265-year history of design and invention. With the use of RIEDEL Winewings glasses, you can see for yourself why shape matters. What began as one glass developed into seven to represent the most popular grape varieties.

What makes RIEDEL Winewings so distinctive?
The flat, stretched base and wing-like shape increases the surface area between wine and air, the levels of evaporation, and promotes aromatic intensity. The glasses also feature a necessary curve in the glass walls and a specifically calibrated rim diameter, to provide the optimum experience of the wine's profile.

Striking in its design and brutally functional, the RIEDEL Winewings glass collection takes wine's aromas and flavours to the next level. With nearly six decades of experience behind him, 10th generation Georg Riedel has succeeded in creating a new set of products for heightening wine enjoyment.
