The new Chrismont cellar door, restaurant and larder, which opened in November, strides a hilltop in the upper King Valley, a beautiful complement to Mother Nature, taking your breath away.
Arnie and Jo Pizzini once took walks up here to get away from it all, now they are sharing their special place with the wine world. It’s a treasure, you’ll feel it in your bones the moment you catch sight of the view from the balcony.
Here, the strong Italian connection to the region is on show. The La Zona range explores Italian grape varieties such as pinot grigio, barbera, sangiovese and sagrantino at friendly prices, a great introduction for those wanting to discover and learn more about the Italian way with wine. Top off the experience with the Riserva range, top of the tree.
Jo Pizzini with the help of her cousin Giovanna Jones presents the food, a mix of tastes from Sicily and Italy’s north. The larder is filled with plenty of homemade Italian goodness to take home. Jeni Port
