Singlefile is a family vineyard owned by retired geologists, Phil and Viv Snowden, and run by son-in-law, Patrick Corbett, and daughter, Pam. Larry Cherubino has been their consultant for the last six years and the wines have been made at Rockcliffe by Coby Ladwig.
Of the five Great Southern subregions only Denmark has the visitor numbers to justify substantial investment in cellar doors. Singlefile has stepped up to the challenge and their purpose-built timber and brick cellar door has consistently been the region’s top drawcard for wine lovers. It’s attention to detail across all aspects of the operation that creates the ambience which makes people want to be there either inside the well-organised, well-lit tasting room or at the alfresco tables on the immaculate lawn areas.
Their portfolio focuses on the wines of the Great Southern and specialises in subregional expressions (such as Denmark semillon sauvignon blanc, Porongurup riesling) and single site varietals (chardonnay from the home vineyard, pinot noir from Denmark’s Robertson’s Vineyard and shiraz from Frankland’s Riversdale Vineyard).
