Star Wine List and GT WINE celebrated Australia’s top wine lists

On November 8, the Star Wine List Awards Australia with Gourmet Traveller WINE was held for the first time. Mornington Peninsula's Ten Minutes by Tractor took home two of the seven categories in the celebration of Australian wine lists and sommelier teams. Gold Stars were also won by wine bars and restaurants in Sydney, Hobart, Canberra and Melbourne.

Star Wine List Awards is a celebration of the great wine lists in the world and the teams behind them. In Australia, the prize was awarded in seven categories, and the winners in each category got a Gold Star and qualified for the international final in 2022. Previously on this tour, the awards have been held in Finland, Norway and Denmark. After Australia, the United Kingdom is up next.

About the jury

The jury for the Star Wine List Awards with Gourmet Traveller Wine includes four of the most renowned sommeliers in the world: Paz Levinson, Véronique Rivest, Arvid Rosengren and Pascaline Lepeltier. The Australian wine scene was represented by Andrea Pritzker MW and sommelier Jacqueline Turner.
